A soft cover that fits the changing mat exactly is one of the most practical pieces of basic equipment. The fabric is thick, soft and stretchy. The elastic in the hems makes sure the cover stays in place on the cushion. A changing mat can be quite cold without a cover, and plastic is not a very comfortable surface. A towel laid on it will slip and not cover the edges. A traditional gauze towel is too small and thin to cover the changing mat completely.

100% terry. The edges are elasticated, like a fitted sheet. That's how the cover stays in place!
