New back to school collection: the power of words

We’ve been challenging ourselves to show the incredible power of words with the help of four great kids, Gina, Lubin, Lola and Sacha, for back-to-school collection Edition #12.
Because, yes, words make us feel, react and imagine, whether they’re written down, shouted out (when it all gets too much…), sung (in the shower, in the car…), or worn.
And by choosing and combining the right words, we can share powerful messages and get our ideas across, no less ! 😉
So, we had a great idea: what if we taught our kids to own and handle their words with a slam?
The kids wrote their own slam poetry, putting together the most powerful words they could find around them and working their creativity hard.
And now…drumroll please…it’s time to roll out the red carpet!
The incredible slam from our four budding artists is just here “click to see the images”
But this little masterpiece needed a helping hand! And that hand came from Joy (a young and socially engaged Brussels artist), who helped the kids think, create and write their slam and spoken word piece. Joy sees slams as a kind of spoken art that means we come together and observe/point certain things out in a poetic way.
But our back-to-school collection also sends out an engaged and optimistic message 😉
Finally, here’s a fab selection of key back-to-school looks 🙂
An ultra-soft, 100% cotton floaty
maxi skirt with big pockets.
Our new mom jeans: wide at the thigh (with pleats to keep them feminine) and
narrow at the bottom, you can roll them up for afashionable look. And the special fabric contains elastane for maximum comfort and is Lesswater*.
Soft khaki jumpsuit
in a cotton and Lyocell blend
Wear rolled up above pretty trainers.
We love this striped and textured
100% cotton dress with terracotta and glittery pale pink banding.
Sophisticated detailing: chest embroidery, wood-effect buttons, V-neck and decorative binding on shoulders.
This is an ultra-feminine style with puff sleeves and plenty of volume (and it flares out when you twirl!). Team with a little bag, boots that mean business and glittery socks for a look that’s as preppy as anything.
Checks are featuring on new pieces for a high-fashion vibe.
We’re going for a very British feel by pairing these trousers with a denim shirt, also shaken up with a big colourblock hoodie for a preppy/campus look!
Just perfect for going back to school, don’t you think?
The thick denim shirt we put over everything.
Even over a jumper, like here. The denim is also Lesswater*.
The hoodie, we wear over a T-shirt
like an overshirt for a cool little look.
